Shelters of Saratoga has been transforming lives for over 30 years.

History

1991 – Emergency winter shelter for men opened 

199719 bed year-round shelter opened on Walworth Street

2000 – Four supportive apartment units acquired

2004 – Three supportive apartment units acquired

2009 – Two unit transitional housing program opened at 20 Walworth Street

2010 – Street outreach program began

201213 bed shelter opened at 20 Walworth Street

2013 – Emergency Code Blue shelter opened

2015Drop-In Center now Navigation Center opened

2019 – Awarded HHAP funding to rehabilitate shelters and expand the supportive housing program

2023 – Code Blue emergency shelter moves to former Grand Union Motel

2024 – Anticipated opening of expanded and renovated Walworth Street shelters, completion of Shelter Accessibility project (new driveway between House 14 & 20, new accessible ramps and entrances.)
Anticipated opening of 9 new units of Supportive Housing on Ballston Ave, at the former Spa Motel.
