IRA Required Minimum Distribution
For individuals aged 72 or older, exploring the option of using your IRA’s Required Minimum Distribution (RMD) as a qualified charitable distribution (QCD) offers the benefit of contributing up to $100,000 while avoiding income taxes on the gifted amount. It’s important to note that QCDs cannot be directed to donor-advised funds. Go to the IRS website for additional useful information on QCDs.
