Volunteers are an essential part of our mission. Without you, we couldn’t support people as well as we do. We are grateful for all the ways you want to give your time, talent, and treasures to enrich the lives of people facing homelessness in the Saratoga community.

Volunteer Roles – Current Openings

Please note: We take the safety of our guests, staff, and volunteers very seriously. Therefore, we are required by NYS to conduct a background check on all staff and volunteers. By submitting an application to volunteer, you are giving us permission to submit your information to the Staff Exclusion List (SEL). Learn more about the SEL checklist.

Front Desk Volunteers

Front Desk Time Commitment: 4 hours weekly
Current Shift Availability (as of 3/1/26)

Morning Shift: 8-noon M-F
Afternoon Shift: noon-4 pm, Thursday or Friday

Training shift occurs Wednesdays from 12pm-4pm

Key Responsibilities:

Greet and interact with houseguests, community members, donors, and staff in a friendly and professional manner.
Answer and direct phone calls efficiently to the appropriate staff or department.
Accurately enter donation and inventory information into the system.
Promote a welcoming and pleasant experience for all guests, visitors, and staff.
Utilize basic computer skills to perform daily tasks and maintain records.
