The Shelters of Saratoga Board of Directors are thrilled for Duane Vaughn and his family and wish him all the best in his new role as Commissioner of Social Services for Washington County, where he lives. Duane will continue with Shelters of Saratoga through the end of September. Duane served Shelters of Saratoga with distinction for five years, positioning us to meet the growing challenges of housing insecurity in our community, and will broaden his public service in an important governmental role. Duane has always been a passionate advocate for the people we serve, and we are grateful for his leadership.
“Serving this organization has been an honor and a privilege. I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to work alongside such a dedicated team of staff, volunteers, and community partners in advancing the mission of supporting and uplifting those experiencing homelessness. Together, we have accomplished meaningful progress that I will always carry with me.”
Help those in need
Your contribution provides safe shelter, supportive services, and housing navigation for those facing homelessness in our community.
A huge thank you Duane, as you have worked so hard over the past five years at making SOS what it is today. I know you have your worker bees who have worked just as hard but Shelters of Saratoga would not be the success it is if you were not in the Captain’s seat. I learned so much from working at SOS and I am eternally grateful. May you all have continued success in the days ahead.
Thank you for all you have done to help the unhoused. You have been a great asset to the community and will be missed. Best of luck in your new adventure with the Government. I am sure you will be great at your the position.
